UPND Castigates PF Over Constitution
The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has observed that the presentation of the Constitution of Zambia Bill to Parliament by Justice Minister Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula is a first step in declining to give Zambians a new constitution by the PF Government.
The opposition political party is of the view that the country will never have a new constitution under the PF Government as the clauses taken to parliament will not go through saying the PF have the majority Members of Parliament.
UPND Chairperson for Rural Reconstruction and Development Moono Mapani says the people of Zambia did not want to amend the current constitution but wanted to have a whole new supreme law of the land.
Mr. Mapani says the PF Government has gone against the wishes of the people of Zambia by amending the constitution through parliament.
He says from the beginning, the people voiced out that they wanted to have a new constitution through a referendum and not amending the current constitution through parliament.
Mr. Mapani says there is no doubt that the failure by the PF Government to give the people of Zambia a new constitution as they promised will haunt them come 2016.

If anything the Upnd shares a bigger portion of blame. Upnd ganged up with MMD to bar Mr Sata from standing. For four years the NCC never came up with anything worth while apart from discussing Mr Sata’s age and education. As for parliament, I am sure the opposition are capable of stopping PF.

nez Upnd had the opportunity to deliver a new constitution, but connived with MMD, FDD & PF rebels to discuss only Mr Sata’s age & education for 5 years they sat on the NCC.

infact,pipo voted pf in office in january 2015,to bring food on the table by first constructing roads,Edgar Chaimilila Lungu never signed wat a certain group was advocating for interms of the constitution,,,seek the face of the Lord and the truth shall be revealed,, inshot learn to pray upnd,.we stand with pf in bad times and good times we trust them,.

I feel for UPND. knowing that their party is not wining next year elections its frustrating and painful. But not all is lost PF is taking care of what they wanted to do. My appeal to UPND suporters is to be part of the govt. For you HH you can still help this country not as a president but by contributing by formig an NGO

UPND, how are you going to vote on the Constitution Bill? After it was adopted by cabinet the Bill represents GRZ policy. The claim that PF will not vote for GRZ policy doesn’t make sense. It is for you UPND MPs to state whether you will support the Bill which reproduces all the people’s wishes.

Only a fool can say constitution cannot bring food on the table.
Some peolpe do not know the meaning of constitution.Some peolpe support blindly. Start asking people who understands the meaning of costitution. A country without constitution will continue suffering like Zambia.
Iam feeling very sorry for those who can not support the constitution. We are having unneccessary by elections,readers stealing money any how. Shame useless Kambwili and PF who promised to give the constitution within 90 days.
