PROTUZ Accuses MoF Officials Of Altering Salary Register
The Professional Teachers Union of Zambia (PROTUZ) has accused some senior officials at the Ministry of Finance of conniving with some of its members to change their union membership on the salaries register.
PROTUZ Director for Mobilization and Recruitment Misween Phiri has told QFM News that the register obtained from the Ministry of Finance for October salaries has shown that the union has lost about 430 members who have been reverted to their previous unions, describing the move as illegal.
Mr. Phiri states that it is a criminal offence for officials from the Ministry of Finance to revert the teachers who joined the PROTUZ willingly to their old unions.
He says the union will ensure that it gets to the bottom of the matter.

That’s sad members resigning in masses, that’s one big exodus,it reminds me of how people are leaving pf to join UPND, am sure there is something you not doing as a union, that’s why they have gone back to their old Unions.

The fragmentation of labour movements in Zambia since the MMD times in the early 90s means that the labour movements is WEAK and cannot make any meaningful impact on the employer. Same as the political situation in Zambia! You find fragmented opposition ALL saying that they are NEXT in line to the presidency just because power generation has plummeted to very low! Kuti wamona naba Mulyokela nomunabo hakainde ati ‘wind of change’!!
Silly! Unions go back to one ZNUT natumapoliticians form one party.

So it saddens you,con men teacher union leaders to make more money out of members,than to well represent them? You are the ones that proposed to the government an increment of K150 and it didn’t even bother you of your ill representations. You shall see more members going unionless.how can we be subjected to this noses and u are busy building and buying expensive cars for yourselves from your heft allowances .this time u shall see.If u no meaningful pay rise comes out of the so called salary ‘negotiations’ , u shall see

total corruption at ministry of finance,ACC that’s your job,if I discover that u moved me to old pipo union like znut,I will sue u ba kolwe.nowonder u delay payin us busy making illegal deals to benefit yo pockets ba swine.am sure these are the same chaps responsible for the downfall of our economy,am sure they are working with the enemies of our nation,busy getting kickbacks on the expense of development.they deserve to be kicked out from that sensitive ministry,,,shame,shame on u at ministry of finance, u have exposed yourselves.

Africa never ceases to amaze. Nigeria an oil producing country facing fuel shortages. The President takes over the ministry of petroleum but fails to pin point where the problem is. They manage to arrest a member of the cartel who has stolen billions of dollars from oil revenues, the court finds him with no case to answer and is freed. You wonder why KK put measures to monitor our sources of income?

If my memory serves me right,PROTUZ came into existance bcoz of PF this is the same group which will always sign raw deals as long as PF is in power. It is a pro-pf union with no heart for its members.they are yet to loose more members just like their master pf. Its the worst union.
