HH Sees The Need For Politicians To Reconcile
United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has noted the need for all political party leaders to genuinely reconcile not just in words but in actions.
Mr. Hichilema has told journalists in Lusaka after the memorial service of late President Michael Sata that the reconciliation process will be complete when government abolishes the Public Order Act.
Mr. Hichilema says the call by various stakeholders for politicians to reconcile is a welcome move, but that politicians themselves must mean well when reconciling.
He says there is also need to talk about issues that are causing acrimony in the country and see how they can be cemented as a way forward.
The UPND adds that the Zambian people should also reconcile saying not only politicians need reconcile.
And Mr. Hichilema says Zambians should be grateful to late President Michael Sata for his resounding commitment to dealing with the challenges they are facing.
And People’s Party president Mike Mulongoti says it is embarrassing that the call to reconcile has come from the church when it should have come from politicians themselves.
Mr. Mulongoti says now that the church has called on politicians to genuinely reconcile, the political front has no option but to come together and settle all their differences.
He says the onus is on President Lungu to use all facilities at his disposal to call all political party leaders together and discuss issues that maybe a barrier to genuine reconciliation.

Low level of thinking, as there are several other characteristics of being a good leader, besides, in the minds of most of us poor and non leaned people in Africa, whenever one is rich or learned, then we easily think such people are not humble, when actually not.
We need to rise above petty reasons mostly based on inherent tribalism and regionalism other than the real qualities of a good leader that we should be looking for.
In other countries, if you are poor and not learned, you can not be put in a high office of leadership as you have nothing to demonstrate your capacity to achieve things and inspire others.
Because we choose poverty over riches, ignorance over education and professionalism, we continue to lag behind as others are rising elsewhere. We need to change our mentality!

common sense dictates that those with 6 senses will be able to process simple typos and adduce the meaning. Was there any point alluding to one’s father? Are you not man enough to direct your pain to me? You think insulting an old man like my father will make you any better? Mr HH, that is the way to go, you do not need to hate, kill in order for you to lead become a leader. People would otherwise doubt your motivation to aspire for leadership. For me the major reason why pipo have been hauling unprintable at the incumbent is that they had written him off completely. Its never easy for one to become president. Yes you can have all your paper qualifications but in your performance you need to be SMART. ECL was Smart. Besides you need to be humble, God works through the so called weak, humble so that his mighty can be manifested. For me I do not understand why someone should insult another, or hate another apart from greediness.
Gone are those days when pipo used to be swayed by the outspoken, the insulting type of leaders.
Even some union, see them , they have made themselves irrelevant, the culture of banging tables, throwing jackets around is long gone and belongs to the liberation struggles. this time its issues based approach to human challenges.
PIPO WIL BE JUDGED BY WAHT THEY DELIVER AND NOT WAHT THEY DO.

After going through the article above I sampled a few of the comments on the same and was left wondering whether we understood the article in the same context! However what crossed my mind was if two people are trading insults then in after thought one calls for truce and urges reconciliation, who among the two would have to stretch out an open hand (not a fist) to the other? It is not a matter of calling for peace and you expect your foe to drive the process of reconciliation! Thats where my problem lies with some of the comments above in reaction to HH. I perceive it is for Lungu to implement measures clearing that which continues to drive a wedge between parties since its Lungu who has waved the olive branch!

Hh is stupid, no sense of shame.
This hh was absent and the funeral and burial of the late sata, than you go and attended a memorial service this is a pure manifestation of demons. In the interview hh spoke well of the late sata, when the man was alive hh called him(sata) as Chimbwi no plan ,because the man is dead,he has become a heroe, Hh should have said good things to sata,when he was alive.Reconciliation and unity was first from the President, not hh.
Hh is not been sincere.
