‘Inappropriate, Illicit & Immoral Affair At Puma Energy Zambia Top Management Level’
Dear Editor,
Please can you investigate this situation at Puma Energy in Zambia, HQ at Airtel House.
We have reason to believe that the General Manager, a Senegalese national, is carrying on an illicit affair with the Human Resource Manager, a Zambian female.
Ever since being appointed as General Manager for the Zambia business in 2014, he has not come with his family.
Instead, he spends most of his nights with this lady.
This is not right.
As a result, this lady thinks she is untouchable & carries her weight around as if she is the boss.
She last worked for Stanchart & left in unclear circumstances. She was appointed in 2013 after several high profile candidates could not be secured. Her academic qualifications are not clear, we do not know which university she attended, if any at all.
Lastly, could you also check with immigration why they are allowing foreign nationals to take up roles such as General Manager/Managing Director/CEO when we have Zambian nationals who are ably qualified for the role at Puma Energy Zambia?

I do not see any case here. It seems this is a frustrated PF cadre who cannot understand why employment is given to foreigners based one merit. You are used to getting jobs just because you belong to a certain group or tribe. My friends in PF please be aware that the world is a global village where even zambian professionals are employed to top positions in foreign countries. Stay strong

I was of the view that those that can access and blog on social media constitute the more enlighened segmment of the Zambian population. And if the ‘enlightened’ Zambians can trivialize a corporate governance issue as seen in these blogs; then our attitudes speak volumes about the current and future state of this country.
