Suspected Robber Shot Dead

A Man died yesterday from gunshot wounds he suffered in the early hours of yesterday after he was shot when he broke into a warehouse in Lusaka’s Kanyama Township.
Lusaka Province Police Commissioner Charity Katanga said in an interview that the man, identified as Harrison Chisala, 18, who was with two others, broke into a warehouse belonging to Sunny Luhole, 36, of Kanyama site-and-service.
Ms Katanga said Luhole later called police and Chisala was picked and rushed to the University Teaching Hospital, where he died.
In another incident, Obed Sangwenya, 22, died after being stabbed by his friends following a misunderstanding when sharing stolen goods on December 16, 2015. Close to his body, police also found another man, who had been stabbed. The unidentified man later died at UTH.
Ms Katanga said the incident happened around 23:00 hours at a bus-stop in Kanyama Township after six suspected robbers differed over their loot.

I find it very absurd that a man is shot down without any mention of him being armed. Surely i believe that cops in zambia are only allowed to fire where they are dealing with armed robbers who are a threat to the public. To me this sounds like overzelous pf police who will do as they please. I am currently in Katete eastern province and it was sad to hear about the teargassing of a building in which the mmd president was holding a meeting. Surely, this is not right. Zambia is slowly turning into a police state and we cannot allow this. In 2016 do the right thing

To begin with, it does not state explicitly that the owner shot him. And even if that is found to be the case, I find it weird that the police only picked up the shot man and did not arrest the owner. So please it does not change the fact that the pf biased police are biased and do not follow rules. Please go ahead now and tell me that it was right for the police with pf blessing to tear gas a room full of women which mumba was addressing. Please tell me that it is right earlier this year for the police to be directed by lungu to arrest HH?I can go on. So please let us be realistic and honest wiht our selves.
