Photo: Unza Student Hit By Runaway Driver

A third year University of Zambia female student was on Sunday night bashed by a hit and run driver along Great East Road.
The student was bashed near the Arcades roundabout and died on the spot.
Questions may arise on why she may have opted for crossing the road far from the Fly Over Bridge that was built as an attempt to curb students being hit by motorists along Great East road that usually culminated in riots.

Death ? is really painful no wonder the Bible calls it the last enemy to be destroyed is death. Killing a person like that and he drives off is the worst thing a driver can do. Wherever this driver may be, the blood of an innocent girl is haunting him. Not until he he discloses himself to the deceased family ? and the police, will have no peace. Lets mourn with the family

  9. Hello Haters   July 18, 2016 at 8:13 pm

Who be you to call other humans shonongo? Are you ISIS or al kader to label your fellow human beings infidels and behead them as you you play God’s judge on humanity, is this the reason you calling for prayers to play holier-than-thou? What makes you more holy than i when you just slithering on earth’s dirt just like everybody also waiting for judgement day.

Very sad and what a loss of life. To stop such deaths, that UNZA place should have speed limit of 60 km/h. Police should be there to fine students or people who cross the road without using the fly over bridges which have been built on our roads.

  12. Kapimpa   July 19, 2016 at 3:15 pm

The writer of this article: You have correctly said she was hit NEAR the Arcades roundabout and you are asking why she chose not to use the Fly over bridge??? How was she going to use the fly over bridge before she got there? she may have been walking from Arcades shopping centre or Kalundu with an intention to use the Fly over bridge. Just thinking”””””””

If someone is coming from radison going to east park u cant expect the person to use the bridge. The bridge is meant for people coming from the station and vise versa.. and she was hit near the arcades round about.. How do u expect her to use the bridge from there

  18. mk   July 20, 2016 at 1:40 am

    MHSRIP

  19. Silence   July 20, 2016 at 9:02 am

@Kapimpa you are correct. Was also wondering about the same.

  20. Sorrycase   July 20, 2016 at 3:35 pm

True Blazer! The fly over bridge is at its own point. Next time someone will expect the fly over to be used from showground bus stop to Manda Hill. Lets be serious, death comes when it comes. Sad for the issue, beautiful or not beautiful is not even the issue.
