3 Homes Burnt In Sioma

THREE families in Sioma in Western Province have been left homeless after unknown people torched their houses on Friday.

Sioma member of Parliament Mbololwa Subulwa named the affected persons as Mable Yusiku, Mufaya Yusiku, Pumulo Yusiku and an elderly woman called Mwanda Mufaya.
She said in an interview that no one died in the inferno but that the affected families lost household property and food which they had just harvested.
“The incident happened on July 7, 2017 when the owners were out attending a meeting. Only a young child and the old woman were home at the time and were rescued by onlookers,” she said.
Ms Subulwa has donated iron sheets and assorted household goods to the affected families of Lufelo village.
