Developing Story: Kabwe General Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Gutted By Fire

Kabwe General Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was in the early hours of today gutted by fire.

The fire that started around midnight at the ICU was also seen extending to ward six (6) through the ceilng board, a situation that saw many patients and their bed-siders scamper in different directions in search for safety for their lives.

The fire fighters that rushed to the scene were seen putting off the fire using Kabwe General Hospital horse pipes instead of their usual fire tenders as they claimed not to have had enough water.

However, by press time, no deaths were recorded and the cause for the fire was not yet established.

I hope it is not another sabotage story! We have had too many fires than normal. There is need for fire investigators to establish the source of this fire. If this is sabotage whoever did this will never have peace in his/her life!
Starting a fire in the ICU is premeditated murder as most patients in this section of the hospital are not capable of running or walking away from the dangers of fire.
