‘Jonathan Lungu’ Caption Lands SABC In Trouble…As PF Demands Apology

The Patriotic Front(PF) is  distraught with  South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) for mistakenly referring President Lungu to “Jonathan Lungu” in their caption.

PF Secretary General Davies Mwila says the mistake is not only regrettable, malicious and insulting to the Presidency and the country at large but  also deserves an unreserved apology from the media house.

Mwila has described the act as unprofessional, malicious and insulting.

Asking “Jonathan Lungu? Like really?

This is the same media house that the Zambian Government did give permission to cover live the inauguration of His Excellency President Edgar Lungu. As a Party, we feel that the actions of SABC were nothing but antagonistic with intent to malign,” he said

Mwila said SABC like any other media house worth it’s salt in the Region must have names of Presidents on their fingertips. He said in as much as mistakes do happen, the bare minimum expected from SABC is an equivocal apology.

In a very short, yet unreserved statement,  the PF leadership has demanded a retraction of the the wrong caption and also called upon the media house to issue an apology to Presidency in Zambia and the country at large.
