Govt Dismisses Reports That There Is A Shortage Of ARVs In Muchinga Province

 

Government  has dismissed media reports that there is a shortage of Antiretroviral drugs (ARVs)in Muchinga Province.

There were reports that ARVs, the life saving drugs have run out  in Muchinga Province.

When contacted for a comment,   Ministry of Health (MoH) spokesperson Maximilian Bweupe said the ARVs are available in the Province.

Dr Bweupe who is also Director of Policy and Planning said  yesterday 5th September 2017, Medical Stores Limited delivered the  stock of ARVs to Muchinga.

The Ministry of Health Spokesperson  assured the general public  that all the districts have enough stocks of ARVs, therefore there is no need to panic.

“The people of Muchinga Province should not panic. We have enough stock of ARVs between 1 to 2 month,” he said.
