Arrest Kambwili For Calling Lungu “A Thief”, Says James Lukuku

Republican Progressive Party(RPP) president James Lukuku is now calling for the arrest of outspoken Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili for defamation of the  President.

Kambwili has been  holding nothing back in his continued attacks on the Presidency since being expelled from the ruling Patriotic Front(PF).

Last week Kambwili held a press briefing where  he branded President Edgar Lungu corrupt.

He said President Lungu had nothing before he became President of the Republic of Zambia and now he is filthy rich and wondered where he has amassed such wealth a short period of time.

But Chief Government Spokesperson Kampampa Mulenga responded to Kambwili’s claim that the President was a pauper before he became President.

According to Mulenga, President Lungu had a life before he became President, saying he was already rich when he was first elected Head of State in 2015.

In countering Mulenga’s claims, Kambwili said President Lungu was sleeping in incumbent Chawama Member of Parliament, Lawrence Sichalwe garage.

He said President Lungu is on record having stolen his client’s money as a practicing lawyer.

When receiving about 150 defected from both the ruling and opposition party in Kamwala South, Lukuku said Kambwili should face the wrath of the law.

He said in Zambia, calling a President a thief is a serious offense which translates into a jail sentence but wondered why the former Minister is walking the streets of Lusaka a free man after making such unpalatable remarks.

“You have heard Kambwili calling the President a thief. It is an offense for an ordination member of society to call a President a thief. It is defamation of the President. So in this meeting, we are calling for the immediate arrest of Chishimba Kambwili,” Lukuku said as his support cheered.
