ZANACO 3-2 Zesco United
An 82nd minute Ben Bahn own goal helped sink Zesco United as they lost to Zanaco fc in a thrilling match.
Zanaco took an early lead in the 10th minute after a neat finish in the box from Zambian International winger Ernest Mbewe before Kenyan International striker Jesse Were equalised via the penalty spot to send the match into halftime at 1-1.
Augustine Mulenga gave Zanaco the lead in the 65th minute from the penalty spot before yet another penalty was awarded by Audrey Nkole in the 73rd minute and Were converted to equalise for Zesco and score his second of the day.
It was Ivorian defender Ben Bahn who uncharacteristically put the ball into his own net after pressure from Zanaco to give The Bankers a 3-2 win.
Zanaco’s win puts them in first place on 50 points while Zesco United are in fourth place on 46 points.
LUSAKA DYNAMOS 2-1 KONKOLA BLADES
A late Chrispin Mugalu brace helped Lusaka Dynamos to a 2-1 win after Konkola Blades had taken the lead through Brian Chewe in a match that saw LD Captain Cletus Chama get sent off on his return after serving a one match suspension.
LD’s win puts them in 5th position on 46 points while Konkola Blades are in 18th position on 23 points.
POWER DYNAMOS 1-1 MUFULIRA WANDRERS
A 48th minute goal from Guily Manziba helped Mufulira Wanderers to a 1-1 draw against Power Dynamos.
Power were looking to end their 13 year record of failing to beat Mighty and Jimmy Ndhlovu’s opening goal looked to change that but Mighty dug deep for Manzibas equaliser.
Power are now in second place on 47 points while Blades are in 18th place on 23 points.
