Bishop Mambo Incensed After Mwami 1 Kanganja ‘Grabs’ His Land

Chinyanja Ward Councillor Peter Mulubisha has vowed to protect land acquisition interests of the electorate in Lusaka West, an area under parliamentary jurisdiction of United Party for National Development (UPND) Chilanga Member of Parliament (MP) Keith Mukata.  And a community member Bishop John Mambo is incensed following encroachment of his land occasioned by Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja.

During a community meeting, residents were encouraged by Councillor Mulubusha to develop their individual land as he pushes authorities to grant them offer letters, awaited since 2013. Councillor Mulubisha expressed regret that 33 senior Zambia Police officers have displaced junior officers occupying land lot 196, previously a paramilitary area, for personal usage.  Mulubisha equally implored residents to start a market within the community as a means of thwarting further encroachment. On his part, Bishop Mambo commended President Edgar Chagwa Lungu for a policy statement that poor Zambians and citizens must acquire land that is easily accessible.  However, Bishop Mambo expressed sadness that senior officers colluded by acquiring land thus contradicting a presidential directive.  Bishop Mambo argued that each and every Zambian must have access to land as a birthright bequeathed by the Almighty God.

He regretted that the senior police officers under the command of Kanganja have encroached his hard -earned land in  Lusaka West.

A check by the news crew revealed that the police have mounted a very expensive wire face inside Bishop Mambo’s farm.
