North MP’s Unite To Stir Development

Patriotic Front-PF Members of Parliament and Ministers that hail in Northern Province have vowed do anything possible to impress the locals in the region with regards to development.
Speaking in Kasama at the Provincial Conference Hall yesterday during a media forum that attracted journalists from across the region, the MP’s stressed that in a bid to stir the desired development they have resolved to work as a team.
The Parliamentarians charged through Mpulungu Member of Parliament, Freedom Sikazwe that they will robustly lobby government for development.
Mr. Sikazwe, who is also Presidential Affairs Minister, added that they will not tolerate a fellow parliamentarian working in isolation.
Meanwhile, the MP’s dispelled claims from some sections of society alleging that Northern Province is under-developed in comparison to other provinces.
The Members of Parliament that featured at the provincial media forum were Brian Mundubile – Mporokoso, Chungu Bwalya – Lupososhi, Kelvin Sampa – Kasama Central.
Others are Mutotwe Kafwaya – Lunte, George Mwamba – Lubansenshi and Hastings Chansa – Chimbamilonga.
Also featuring was Religious Affairs Minister, Godfridah Sumaili, a native of Lunte District and Deputy Provincial Permanent Secretary, Borniface Mbuzi.
In the recent weeks, inhabitants of Northern Province including the traditional leadership have complained that their province is not receiving a reasonable share of developmental projects.
