Public Office Not For Tax Evaders – Canisius Banda

FORMER United Party for National Development UPND vice-president for political affairs Canisius Banda says any citizen, whether in government or not, who undertakes activities to avoid paying tax is a veritable enemy of the nation.

Dr Banda said in an interview that many countries use tax to deliver quality social services such as health and education to its people.

He said part of the reason these services are either poor or inaccessible for many citizens in Zambia is because some people and business entities have decided to engage in tax evasions.

How about those who sell wheel barrows to government at inflated prices? How about those who have bought mansions in RSA, like Dora Siliya, thus avoiding paying taxes on rental incomes? How about Rupiah Banda and his children with massive foreign accounts in South Africa? Come on Cassius, what can you say? You appear to be obsessed with HH, are you gay?
