The Patriots for Economic Progress has not yet received any response from the UPND, eight days after it wrote a letter asking the opposition party
with 58 members of Parliament to start the impeachment process for President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.
UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka says the party will only respond after an executive meeting with the party president Hakainde Hichilema and
members of Parliament.
Meanwhile, Zambia today remembered fallen heroes and heroines of the first and second world wars.
President Edgar Lungu led Service Chiefs and foreign diplomats in laying wreaths at the Cenotaph in Lusaka.
The President Lungu arrived at the Cenotaph around 10:50 hours and was welcomed by Vice President Inonge Wina.
Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini was also present.
The Cenotaph is a war memorial structure erected for peace parade following the end of the First and Second World Wars.
Zambia being a member of the British colony and now commonwealth observes this day.
