Former president Guy Scott is now a  confirmed godfather of the newly formed National Democratic Congress (NDC).

And Chishimba Kambwili has finally admitted that he is the man Party Secretary General Mwenya Musenge was referring to when he said that he was John the Baptist, making a way  for someone who is mightier than him.

Dr Scott introduced himself as a  consultant and  godfather of NDC at a consultative meeting held at  Mumana Pleasure Resort in Lusaka.

“I want to make it very clear, I am a consultant like him(Chishimba Kambwili) or godfather. Yes I am a godfather. They say umuchinchi tabalomba. These people who are in power at the moment can’t  force us to respect them because respect comes when you are God fearing and hard working to develop your country,” he said

And Dr Scott emphasized the need for the UPND and NDC to work together in a  combined effort to remove the PF out of power.

“Myself,  I am not against UPND because it is not the UPND that chased us, it is not the UPND that bought fire trucks at US$1 million, it is not them. Between us, the UPND and PF, we should have worked harder because we can’t have Tongas in opposition and Bembas in government. We have to work together. Can you identify a Tongas by looking?” he said.

And Kambwili said he will remain PF till 2018.

” When  Musenge said there was a     vacancy for the presidency, you even know the saviour is coming. First John should do the evangelism, then when we are about to launch the party, in January that is when you are going to tell  that the saviour has come. Even when I am saying this…you know who the saviuor is,” Kambwili said.
