A senior government official in Chilubi District has allegedly defiled a 14-year old girl.

Northern Province Police Commissioner Richard Mweene says Mike Maembe, the father of the defiled girl reported the matter to Chilubi police that his daughter was defiled by 38 year old Deolgracious Mwamba who is Chilubi District Administrative Officer-DAO.

Commissioner Mweene has told Mano News that the incident happened between 18th and 19th November 2017, around 09:00 hours and 12:00 hours at Muchinchi Township in Chilubi.

He says police have since effected an arrest for Mr. Mwamba who he said will soon appear in court for defilement.
