Elections At NIPA Were Rigged

Dear Editor

NIPA had elections last week Friday. After the counting of the votes cast, team 50-50 won. After a recount which was made by a lecturer in the absence of an observer it turned out that he lost. A petition was filled by team 50-50 after it came to there attention that the elections were rigged and the electoral body was compromised.

However, they were told to give the petition to the electoral commission by the academic registrar which goes against the rules of natural justice that no one can be a judge in there on case. This was reported to the E.D and according to the response given by his Secretary “this has happened before.”

Team 50-50 was told there is nothing they can do. There are reports that some lectures were involved. This is injustice and if NIPA management will let this go. What else have they done to cover up the acts of there staff. Change starts with us.

Concerned Student, you should be concerned with yourself. What elections are you talking about? Rigged by whom? Are you just writing for the sake of it? What are you talking about?
