Residents of Kanyama compound in Lusaka say the water being supplied to them by the Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company to help contain the spread of cholera is not enough.
The residents have complained that this has resulted in them drawing water from nearby sources thereby raising doubts if at all the cholera outbreak in the area will be contained.
This came to light during a media tour of kanyama compound yesterday by Ministry of Water Development Sanitation and Environmental Protection Permanent Secretary, ED Chomba and officials from the Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company.
And Bishop Choomba who noted the residents’ concerns urged them to ration their water and add chlorine to the water they fetch from any other source.
