Lusaka Central Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon Margaret Mwanakatwe today donated a total of 120 classroom desks to State Lodge-A Primary School .
Hon Mwanakatwe made the donation on Tuesday afternoon and pledged to continue helping the people of her constituency.
” A few months ago I visited this school and I was not happy to note that our dear pupils had been conducting school lessons and writing learning from the floor.”,
“I was saddened by this and that is why I am back here to donate to the School 120 desks which will make a huge and better difference to this school” Hon Mwanakatwe said .
“I am always happy to work for you , I’m happy to be back here again with good news that I heard your cry on desks and I am here to announced that we have brought 120 desks for you to use in your classrooms” Hon Mwanakatwe further said .
And State Lodge-A School head teacher Mrs Inonge Kakeya said she was happy with Hon Mwanakatwe’s gesture , “We are very happy with your good gesture madam we cried and you have heard our cry , we have more cries to present to you among others are the lack of accommodation for our Teachers who come from as far as chelstone to come and teach here , our ablution blocks are also not in good state too , we also need a 1 by 3 classroom to cater for our grade 8s and 9s.
In responding to these requests , Hon Mwanakatwe said she will be back with good news again just like she has on the desks , ” your requests are genuine and I am pleased to tell you that we shall look into them seriously and we will be back with good news for you , on the ablution blocks we shall fix them as soon as possible because sanity is very important ”
This cheers the School management , Parents and pupils who were listening attentively to Hon Mwanakatwe .
“I love you all very much and I will always be available to help you , you are the reason I’m here and I will Continue to work for you ” Hon Mwanakatwe said as she ended her speech .
