A New Cement Plant Worth Us$100 Million To Set Up In Chilanga

Chilanga District Commissioner Edith Muwana has disclosed that a Chinese investor has shown interest to set up a new Cement Plant at a total cost of US$100 in Chilanga District.
Mrs Muwana has told Phoenix Business that the plant to be called “Dexin” will start after 10 months and will create about 2,000 jobs.
Mrs Muwana explains that out of the 2,000 jobs that will be created, 200 will be sent to China for training to acquire skills on how to operate the plant.
And the District Commissioner is optimistic that once the cement plant is operational the prices of cement will reduce in the country.
