Catholic Priest Suspended For Breaking The Law Of Celibacy

A Catholic priest, aged 33, from St Michael’s Catholic Church in Chikhwawa has been handed an indefinite suspension by the church council and Senate after he was caught having sex with an 18 year old girl.

The priest was caught in the act an an open football ground near the Church he was ministering at around 8PM. Reports indicate that he was caught by a group of three people, that included the brother of the girl, he was drilling.

The three gentlemen who caught him demanded money from the priest not to take the story further but at the time, the priest had only his phones and a bag and motor cycle.

He begged his abductors for mercy indicating he would give them money once he returned to his home but they refused. The matter was brought to the attention of the church who have since suspended him.

Trouble is the that most priests find it hard to drop their careers because the training that they undergo is very restrictive. It is mostly based on studies which are very weak on material benefits to the learner. In addition, the church provides everything a priest needs except sex. There is a huge loss to a priest when he drops priesthood. He has no house of his own, no translatable skills to earn a living, he has no cash to flaunt, he has no car of his own, he has no personal bank account, etc. There is more pressure on a priest to stay on in his priesthood career than to leave! Those that have left become very stressed and suffer depression and its related outcomes.
