Cancer Diseases Hospital Head-Clinical Care, Dr. Susan Chikuni has clarified that the recent reported shortage of cancer drugs in the country was due to delays in supply by manufacturers.

In an interview with phoenix news in Ndola, Dr. Chikuni has explained that since most cancer drugs come from outside the country, they are mostly delayed because of the period it takes to have them shipped.

Dr. Chikuni however said the drug shortage in the country which was experienced from April to November has been resolved although some drugs are not yet available but assured that they will be delivered by the end of this week.
