Three men of the same family have been sentenced to death by hanging for the murder of their 70-year-old aunt.
This is in a case in which the three identified as Aaron Ngosa, Kelvin Mwewa and Lyson Kunda were found guilty of brutalising their aunt on witchcraft allegations.
Kabwe High Court Judge Charles Zulu who sentenced the trio has expressed concern at the number of young people in Central Province who have been convicted for killing the old.
According to Judge Zulu 115 cases of such killings have been recorded in the province.
He observed that young people who are supposed to be protecting the aged are now killing them.
