Miss Zambia 2018 winner Musa Kalaluka says every Zambian, regardless of religion, political affiliation and standing in society should step up and contribute meaning-fully to cleaning the environment and help fight the Cholera outbreak that has claimed over 60 lives since the first case was reported in October last year.
“The fact that I am Zambian , I feel every Zambian problem is equally my problem. As it is right now, Cholera has killed many people, which is not a good thing and this goes to show how bad our country is doing. So, I feel everybody must take a step and do something about it. Zambia can only become a better place to live in, if one person decides to pick up litter, if one person decides to make a difference by making the environment clean because at the end of the day, we are all affected by the epidemic,” Ms Kalaluka said.
And Ms Kalaluka has emphasized the need for Zambians to become hard-working if they have to improve their livelihoods.
“My messages goes to day dreamers. If they keep on day dreaming, they will not go anywhere. They have to push and they have to work hard.” the Miss Zambia 2018 said.
