The Anti-Corruption Commission in Choma has arrested a Businessman of Choma and a Teacher of Shesheke for corrupt practices involving K15 000.
Monde Simalumba, 28, a Teacher of Sabelo residential area in Shesheke, and Odrich Moonga Hanamwinga, 46, of Chandamali Compound of Choma were arrested and jointly charged with one count of disposing of property under restriction notice contrary to Section 61(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of 2012.
Particulars of the offence are that Simalumba and Hanamwinga, on dates unknown but between 1st August 2015 and 31st January 2016 in Choma of the Southern Province, Zambia, jointly and whilst acting together, disposed of a motor vehicle that was under restriction notice namely Mazda Premacy, Registration No. ABX 2449 at a price of K15,000.00 without the consent of the Director-General of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
The duo has since been released on bond and will appear in court soon.
