My Father Blames Me For My Mother’s Extramarital Affair

Question: I am a 23-year-old student and live with my mother in Lusaka. She is having an extramarital affair with her workmate since last year. My father lives abroad and comes to Zambia only twice in a year to visit us.

Since the time my father knew about this affair, he is blaming me for supporting her in going around with her workmate.

But the truth is, I have already tried to make her understand that what she is doing is wrong but she never budged. I am really confused because my father wants me to choose between him and my mother.

I don’t know who is exactly at fault. He has been living abroad since ten years and does not care much about how we manage everything in Zambia. How should I deal with my parents?

    Its not your fault, parents issues are better sorted out by themselves.
