Mukwai twachula pafula ne chipani cha PF, says Hakainde Hichilema.
And Hichilema says his party in government will abolish the tax on rental income that the PF government is seriously enforcing now so that people can have money to support their families.

Addressing a rally in Kabwe’s Makululu compound where he received defector from the ruling party, Hichilema said there was just foolishness in the PF.

He said people were suffering while PF leaders were eating alone.
He told the defectors that they had come to a very serious party, “not party ya buwelewele iyo (foolishness, no)”.
“PF ni party yabuwelewele,” Hichilema said.

“You can see the way they do things. Muli ba PF ifintu fyonde nafyonaika, takuli icisuma iyo. Ubulimi, nabonaula, ama sukulu, nabonaula, incito, takuli, ama businesses, takuli, namenshi yonse, takuli, ama road, yabi sana (in PF everything has been destroyed, there is nothing good; they have destroyed agriculture, schools, there are no jobs, water, even the roads are bad0, so what has PF done?”
He said the PF had brought not only in Kabwe but everywhere.

Hichilema said the PF had caused cholera in Lusaka and now in Kabwe Makululu compound where he said eight people have so far been treated for the disease.

“Mukwai twachula pafula ne chipani cha PF (we have suffered enough with PF. What we need is for them to acknowledge that its them who have brought cholera because they have not provided toilets, they have not provided clean water and they have not collected garbage,” Hichilema said.

“It’s not out people who have brought cholera, it’s the PF who have brought the cholera. So our people are dying out of cholera brought by PF, then they remove our marketeers from markets without giving them alternative trading places to earn income. Now our people have no income, they are now dying of hunger. You die out of cholera because of PF., you die out hunger, it’s because of PF. Ba PF ba ubuwelewele (foolishness).”
Hichilema said his government would ensure that public places had clean toilets with running water and that garbage is collected.

He said unlike how the PF had done it, his government would create more treading places for marketeers for them to earn income.

“Imwe bantu please, let us be serious, ichi ichipani nachonaula ubumi bwesu, nachonaula abana besu, nachonaula ifintu fyonse (this party has destroyed our lives; it has destroyed our children, it has destroyed everything), so you must be happy that you have joined a party that will bring about decency in public health, that’s UPND,” he said.

Hichilema assured the new members that his party would protect them and allow them to have jobs and business so that they could look after their families.

He told them that they had come to a party that understood that people should not go to bed without food.
Hichilema told the people that his government would ensure that agriculture was at the centre of development and families.
He also said President Edgar Lungu’s people, who allegedly brought in diseased buffaloes into Chisamba hence the foot and mouth disease outbreak in the area.

“So it’s him (President Lungu) who has brought foot and mouth disease here in Central Province. Our duty is to fight this disease so that our cattle do not die…” he said.

“I am saying to Mr Lungu, you must bring drugs to fight foot and mouth because you are the one who brought this disease here. I am giving you just one moth to bring the medicine, the drugs to fight foot and mouth disease, otherwise we will know that you are the one who doesn’t love the people of Central Province because by killing their animals the diseases, you are bringing suffering, we don’t want our people to suffer, no.”
Hichilema also called the government e-voucher system useless and corrupt and that the UPND government with abolish it.

“have you ever seen a President, instead of creating jobs in Kabwe, instead of reopening Nkrumah University, he is distributing exercise books with his head, I don’t know whether it’s a nice head or…stop distributing exercise books there, open Nkrumah University, immediately make sure that all those who were lecturing there, who were working there are reinstated. We know that they want to remove UPND supporter but even UPND supporters, chalo chabo (it’s their country),” Hichilema said.

He told Kabwe residents never to vote for PF, who were taking them backwards.
Hichilema also told the gathering that his party in government would not tax boreholes but support them to sink them and ensure their water was safe for consumption.
“Also we are going to remove tax on rentals. No more tax on rentals, all that money is yours so that you can look after your families,” said Hichilema.
