MURDER accused Nshinka Kaputu’s sister Petronella Kaputu Sabi narrated before Lusaka High Court Judge Catherine Phiri how on the night of the shooting, the deceased had been at Kaputu’s place where she demanded that she be allowed to see the child.

This is in a case in which Kaputu 34 is accused of murdering his girlfriend Precious Mangesana in one count and another count of causing grievous harm to their 3-year-old daughter with intent to kill.

The incident happened on October 5 2017 in Lusaka’s Meanhood Ibex area.

During trial, Ms Sabi testified that Ms Mangesana looked very angry and complained that it was not right for her to be stopped from seeing her daughter.

She narrated that Kaputu told Ms Mangesana that he was not stopping her from seeing the child but that he only did not want her to see the child when it was night time.

Ms Sabi told the court that Ms Mangesana who had been cohabiting with Kaputu then demanded that she be given her clothes since Kaputu did not want her at the house anymore.

But as she walked away, she heard sounds like fireworks coming from the direction of Kaputu’s home. And Christine Nkuwa, 22, a maid who worked for Kaputu narrated that Kaputu ordered his friends to leave his house after the shooting incident.
