It is with great sadness to inform you that Dr Vernon Mwape Pashi, 33, has died.
He was found dead in his bedroom around 9hrs this morning by a family member. He graduated in 2010 as a doctor.
University Teaching Hospitals Senior Medical Superintendent Dr Clerance Chiluba has confirmed the death.
“Our prayers are with the family and as a professional we have been robbed of an upcoming Surgeon,” Dr Chiluba said.
Dr Pashi participated in the landmark separation of conjoined twins, Bupe and Mapalo.
At the time of his death he was the Paediatric Surgery registrar at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka.

Very sad young man. I remember when you were a boy at Mpika Boys Teachers compound where your late father was Head teacher. A very determined young man. Rest in Eternal Peace Dr. Pashi.

Words may never be enough to express the sadness we feel right now. The country has been robbed of a young and determined young man, Our doctor you were indeed passionate about what you did and you now leave us in tears. How young a soul. May you rest in eternal peace. Doctor Pashi your legacy will truly live on.
