GOVERNMENT MUST DEFEND THE WEAK NOT PLEASE ITSELF OR THE RICH.

As Movement for National Transformation, MNT, we are very sad to note that government is not listening to the cries of the weak, and vulnerable in Zambian society. Youths, and Women especially are crying for jobs, and economic benefits. People lack disposable income. Taxes are too high. Unemployment levels are too high. Inequalities are too high, and poverty levels too high. Every government, exists to defend the ; Constitution, the weak, Citizens happiness, and the Meet the needs of its people, maintaining national sovereignty, and values.

Therefore, as an opposition political Party MNT, will always advance, and advocate for the weak, and constructively advise government to do the right thing, at any given time. Opposition Parties do not exist to oppose everything government is doing as peer rivalry, and immature politics, as some would suppose as the philosophy of oposition politics. Every nation, and government can be judged how effective it is by :

Firstly, government must exist to defend the constitution regardless of who violates it. There must be no sacred cows. Corruption begins when selecive justice for the privileged, or economic benefits remain for those close to power,at the expenses of the vulnerability of the poor. Money and power must be used to serve the weak nit selfish aggradizement.

Secondly, government must defend the weak, and vulnerable in society. The Patriotic Front, PF government has broken the promise they made to the poor, and God is not happy. They promised lower taxes, more jobs, more money in our pockets, but all has turned out like a deceptive arrow that misses it’s target, as Zambians cry day in and out.

Thirdly, government exists to defend the happiness of the Citizenry, and populace, not themselves. Ministers of government must not be busy serving the government interests, and forget the people for whom they were appointed or elected, or they must be ejected, and rejected.

Fourthly, government must defend the needs of the people, not betray them with foreigners benefiting more. Zambians need effectively devolved resources, and power to all lower organs of government. Even the smallest toe on the human body, when it pains, causes pain to the whole human body. Unfortunately, government is not listening to the cries of the weak, and vulnerable. They have become insensitive to the poor, this must change immediately.

Conclusively, MNT seeks to unify Zambia, and preserve our constitutional national values, that is why conversations bordering on homosexuality, violence encouraged by leaders of named political parties, opposition or ruling makes sad reading, double standards, insults and corruption, must have no place in our democracy. Zambia must advance to first world nation status forthwith. We must all unite as one Nation under God, for our democracy to endure.
