SAVE Lives Foundation has donated asssorted items worth K30, 000 to ACAH (A Cry of An Orphan Home) community school in misisi compound.
Community and Development Social Welfare Minister, Emmerine Kabanshi ,reassurred government committement to the inclusion policy of working with everyone including people living with disabilities, vulnerable and orphaned children ,widows and the old aged.
Ms Kabanshi called on Zambians to unite and embrace each other regardless of race , religion or social status.
“I am happy by this gesture, tesebenzele pamodzi(lets work together ) ,lets keep it up, ba President batikonda bonse chifukwa nibabwino mutima ai (the President loves us all because he has a good heart right ? echoes the law maker.
Ms Kabanshi said to fight the problem of poverty, all stakehoders must come on board and applauded the donation made by Save Lives Foundation. ,
She urged the foundation to continue extending it’s humanitarian act to other needy areas.
Lives Foundation Director Younus Essa said: “It is not the job of government alone but the rich must help the vulnerable.
“Mulungu anati panga nama colour yosiyana buti tina blood ya same.That is why ni Zambia one Nation tili pamodzi ,(God made us with different colours but we have the same that is why it is one Zambia one Nation, one are together).” Emphasised Mr Essa.
At the same occasion, ACAH Founder Teddy Kalimanshi called on citizens to get rid of the ‘boma iyanganepo’ syndrome where people depend on the government for everything.
He appealed to the youth in the country to rise up and supplement governments effort of helping the women, vulnerable orphaned children, widows and the disabled. .
The items donated were 3 wheel chairs , 350 school shirts,700 pencils, 350 exercise books , 20 jackets , crisps, popcorns, jerseys and foodstuffs.
At least 650 children mainly orphans benefited with over 40 old men and women and the disabled.
The donation was made possible by Kaur Fashions owned by Verinder Kaur Virdy who is also director at Save Lives Foundation, Gatbro international limited, Ghousia Islamic trust,Sobi Industries and Aminbhai Sayeed.
