POLICE in Kapiri Mposhi have arrested a 20-year-old woman for dumping her two-week-old daughter.
Police sources confirmed the development and identified the woman who dumped her daughter at a bar as Doreen Museka of Soweto compound in Kapiri Mposhi district.
“We have picked up a 20-year-old woman of Soweto Northpark in Kapiri Mposhi for dumping her two weeks old biological daughter. The incident is believed to have happened on Saturday, 16th June 218 around 21:00 hours,” explained the source. “The infant was dumped at a named bar in Soweto compound.”
Police sources further disclosed that Museka has been charged with an offence of concealing the birth of the child and would appear in court soon.
