United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia(UPPZ) has dismissed as malicious and politically motivated negative publicity on it’s leader, Charles Chanda that he is swindling Zambians.
On-line media specifically, the United Party for National Development(UPND) aligned Zambia Watchdog and the pro-Patriotic Front(PF) controlled Kwacha Times have gone on rampage scanderising Mr Chanda that he is a crook who is swindling Zambian thousands of Kwachas by selling them fake land.
As though that is not enough, the rogue publications have lined up fake people claiming to have been defrauded by Mr Chanda.

When reached for a comment, UPPZ spokesperson Francis Kope said malicious stories from the Watchdog and the Kwacha Times will not stop the UPPZ from empowering Zambians with social needs.
He maintained that what is circulating on the two online media publications are fake stories aimed at tainting the image of Mr Chanda as an individual and UPPZ as a Government in waiting.
He challenged those claiming to be defrauded by Mr Chanda in the land sell to report the matter to the police or local council and not the Watchdog and Kwacha Times.
He wondered why the UPPZ leader was freely roaming the street if he was a conman as the two publications have maliciously put it.

“If there is any political party that is not only making sense but appealing to the people, the political party that is practical, the political party that is there to offer solutions as opposed to just taking, is the UPPZ under the leadership of Mr Charles Chanda. So, what we learn is, we have created one element among politicians which is politics in Zambia is about elections. Those political parties that have participated in elections, those political parties that claim to be bigger, you see that the only time that they do some activities or attend to people’s need is at the time of campaigning but as UPPZ, we are always doing something. It doesn’t matter where. We donated 100 bags of cement in Chikankata, a place where we have never participated in any election, a place that can be considered a stronghold of some political party and when we have meetings there, we have 3000 to 5000 people flocking to those meetings. We are not only talking to them but we are offering solutions to their cries, they had a problem of building a clinic, we had to help so is places like Batoka, Luanshya, Mansa and so on. we have done a number of activities. These activities that we are doing are showing a difference from political parties that know how to talk, know how to debate issues, political parties that know how to attack each other as opposed to bringing solutions to the people,” he said, ” Now, after all these elements that I have talked about, we have now started attracting a number of attention and enemies. If you see here at the Secretariat, there are people everywhere, we receive close to a thousand people in a day. Now, you learn that, when a light is switched on, there are a number of things that will go closer to the light, especially during the night. As UPPZ, we are attracting a number of people and we are attracting enemies and these enemies are coming from different political parties with different ideologies. We have social Online media outlets that support a certain party and another that supports a particular political party and these are online media outlets that are sending propaganda messages about our president and the party but we know that this propaganda is in a quest to just tarnish the image and the credibility of the President. They have talked about the fake plots, they have said that he(Mr Chanda) is a stranded man, they have said that the party is not going any where but people are hear, plenty of them are coming and a lot of them are still coming, so we cannot be moved by some social media publication that are clearly meant to tarnish the image of the UPPZ president,” he said
Mr Kope said whatever malicious stories written about him, Mr Chanda will still progress to Plot One.
He challenged other political parties to empower people as the UPPZ under the leadership of Mr Chanda is doing where a number of citizens have parted away with land and some children have received education sponsorship.
“I will tell something, the UPPZ president is enroute to State House and it will be a shock to those that think State House has become theirs. We will have a new leader because State House is not meant for one person and is not meant for those that think they deserve it but it is meant for those working for the people of Zambia. We are working for the people of Zambia and today we have given out 1000 plots to our paid up members and all we need from our members is to contribute surveyors fees which is K2,500. In short, it is free. All we are doing is, we are giving you this land that has a master title now, because we have demarcated the land into smaller potions, for the diagram to come in your name, you have to pay for the surveyor fee so that your plot can be surveyed and this has angered a number of political prayers and those that do not mean well for Zambia. When you are doing well, helping people, they create fake stories, assasinating your character. It is the Zambian way of doing politics, in the Zambian way of doing politics, you attack personalities as opposed to giving ideas and in Zambian way of doing politics you want to lie about everything,” Mr Kope regretted.
He said politics of personal attacks should be discouraged at all cost.
“Those who are doing cheap propaganda should do something about the people of Zambia as opposed to attacking an individual who is trying to help.UPPZ is doing a lot for the people of Zambia and now to be painted black?” he said
