ZAMBIANS have the collective power to end the rule of a wicked regime by demanding a peaceful resignation of a non-performing government, says Saviour Chishimba.
Chishimba, who has been on a three-month prayer retreat and educational tour of Israel, charged that human suffering could not be prolonged.
“As we in the UPP have said before, whereas the term limit for any government is five years, the people of Zambia have the collective power to end the rule of a wicked regime by demanding a peaceful resignation of a non-performing government. Human suffering cannot be prolonged. Dr Kenneth Kaunda set precedence when he bowed to the demands of Zambians who wanted an immediate change. The PF leaders are not the masters; it’s the people who are the masters. The people temporarily give the power that the current looters are enjoying. The sudden fall of the most powerful dictators is a lesson that the PF leadership must learn from. Some of the richest and most powerful dictators were not only hounded out by the collective power and action of the masses, but they were also killed in little holes like rats,” Chishimba said.
“They looted to an extent that they are boasting. We have an audio in which a top PF leader was boasting after drinking whisky at State House, ‘I have amassed so much money that I can buy the whole country and lead forever’. The arrogance we are seeing right now is stemming from the huge amounts that have been looted,” Chishimba said.
He noted that the country’s current debt and massive corruption would make the rebuilding of Zambia very difficult.
Chishimba said a review of the PF’s economic policy clearly showed that it could never get the country out of debt.
He said money was now circulating in the “black economy”, powered by “the infamous corruption industry”.
“More money in your pockets is only working for the few citizens of the Black Economy. The chairman of the Black economy is President Lungu himself – he is also the chief defender and self-appointed spokesperson of the corrupt,” Chishimba said.
“A non-recycled leadership will be required to rebuild Zambia; it will not be politics as usual. Worse enough, the new corruption industry has killed genuine businesses. China has literally bought Zambia.”
He noted that the level of lawlessness, arrogance, abuse of State power and other evils was so high that the tolerance limit of Zambians had been exhausted.
“There is a limit beyond which a human being can be pushed. The PF will suddenly be buried in a volcano of its own making. Youth unemployment is continuing to rise, FISP is total failure among farmers, taxes are rising, markets are being leased to foreigners (Chinese and Lebanese), small businesses cannot get contracts from government, etc. surely, this is too much to tolerate,” Chishimba said.
He said in the next two years when debt repayments commence, economic hardships would be so extreme that crime rates would go up and thieves would kill over as little as K1. He said the major preoccupation of the current ‘MMD-run PF regime’ was looting as witnessed recently by the Financial Intelligence Centre report.
“I am astounded that the prices of essential commodities have continued to increase, with some rising by 300 per cent in the three month period I had gone to Israel for a prayer retreat and educational study tour. The major preoccupation of the current MMD-run PF regime is looting. The revelations by the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) have vindicated the UPP. We are the pioneers of the #BringBackOurMoney! Anti corruption crusade. We have categorically stated that between 2009 and 2016, US$15 billion has been looted,” Chishimba said.
He noted that there was systematic looting through Road Development Agency and ministries established between 2011 and 2013.
And Chishimba said the deaths of over 10 youths in the Black Mountain accident and those who died through various hardships would “haunt the PF leadership to their graves”.
“Extreme looting started with the RB-led regime. More advanced looting under the tutelage of the regime members of the RB-led MMD government took root between 2014 and 2016. Systematic looting through RDA and ministries was entrenched between 2011 and 2013. All those who served in cabinet between 2011 and 2013 when RDA was placed under the purview of State House are guilty of the biggest economic crime against Zambians,” said Chishimba. “The over US$30 billion public debt is another log in the eye of Zambians. The log has been implanted in the eyes of the people by force under the most careless PF leadership of Edgar Chagwa Lungu. The bloodshed going on in Zambia is a deliberate orchestration of the PF regime and recycled looters who have turned government into a cash cow with a get rich quick mentality. The blood of the young people who perished at the Black Mountain and all those who have perished through ritual murders will haunt the PF leadership to their graves.”
