A MAN who goes back to his vomit insala nga yamunyokola cannot be trusted; Miles Sampa and the PF are leopards in sheepskin, says Chishimba Kambwili.

Kambwili, the former information minister who served alongside Sampa, said the PF’s Lusaka mayoral candidate was “just a playboy” driven by hunger following his fall from grace.

Sampa on Wednesday during the PF interactive forum said he was broke and needed a job.

“Umuntu insala nga yamunyokola elo abwelela ku malushi, tapali nangufimo ifyo akonkako, nibukabolala…it’s to go and rebuild his life. Somebody says this is a very bad and corrupt government and then you go and U-turn in order to get a position. There are two types of U-turning, you can U-turn and be a member and then people say okay let’s appoint him in this position but not where Chilanga [Constituency] comes, you want to stand, Lusaka mayor comes you want to stand. That means that you are being driven by nothing but hunger and destitution. It becomes very difficult to trust such a leader in view of the fact that this is a government of kabwalalas (thieves); this is a government of nobodies but pompwes,” Kambwili said.

He said Sampa had rejoined the ‘vomit’ he called corrupt because he had no principles, warning that money for the Lusaka City Council would not be in safe hands.

“The man is just driven that naine kanje ndye nabo (let me go and eat with them) then the person has got no principle. It’s up to the people of Zambia and Lusaka in particular, I know that under normal circumstances PF cannot win an election, they can only win an election through manipulation, intimidation and corruption. We can only warn and enlighten them that here is a leopard in sheepskin, a man who has U-turned because insala yamusuma. He is a dangerous man. The money for Lusaka City Council will not be in safe hands,” Kambwili, the National Democratic Alliance consultant, said.

“The man whose wife even runs away because of not having money and [he] now wants to be mayor…he he he, I feel sorry for the resources of that kind of a city. To me, Miles Sampa does not deserve to be given a vote by any reasonable Zambian because rebuilding his financial standing drives him. He is not a right person. Surely from a deputy minister, presidential candidate to mayor…he he he, what a way of finishing politically! To me, Miles Sampa is a spent force. In fact, he has never been a politician; in my own view, he has never been a politician, and he is just a playboy.”

He challenged Sampa to state his achievements when he served as deputy minister.

“Even when he was deputy minister of finance or deputy minister of commerce, let him tell us two things that he achieved, two achievements as deputy minister. Those taxis he was pretending to be giving are the ones that have left him in so much debt. Practically the man is bankrupt. In other countries, you do no allow a man who is bankrupt to stand for any position but because both Miles and PF are finished entities, they can depend on each other because they are both finished. I want to appeal to the people of Lusaka that this is the time to teach PF and generally politicians a lesson, that you cannot take people for granted. If they have to build integrity in this political atmosphere, people have to be honest and not base leadership on earthly things, material things,” said Kambwili.
