53 passengers aboard a Likili bus escape unhurt in a road accident in Kasama.
53 passengers have escaped death after a Mpulungu-Ndola bound Zhong Tong Bus belonging to Likili Motorways, bearing registration number BCB 4909, they were travelling in was involved in an accident along the Kasama-Luwingu road.
The accident happened around 07:30 hours a few meters from the Kalense Toll gate, some 20 kilometers from Kasama town.
According to the bus driver, Benard Mulaiso, the accident occurred when he was trying to avoid hitting into a Toyota Corolla bearing registration number APB 572 which was reversing on the highway.
And the passengers praised the bus driver who managed to swerve the bus from one side to the other before crashing on its side.
Two passengers who were in a Toyota corolla were by press time nursing injuries in Kasama General Hospital.
