The Choma Municipal Council has confiscated over 50 loaves of bread from Kingsmill bakery due to unsanitary conditions of the facility.
Director of Public health Sam Nyoni tells Byta FM News that the bakery’s toilets are in bad condition with operators making the bread without food handlers certificates.
He adds that the bakery’s open doors were found directly acquiring dust from the opposite block making site.
Nyoni has also disclosed that the local authority has confiscated assorted liquor from Blue Hall Investment operating from Puma Filling Station for not having a trading license.
He explains that the inspections were done in efforts to create sanity and compliance among business operators in the town.
Nyoni says business owners will have to meet the required health standards and be taken to the Magistrate court as per requirement.
