Charles Chanda Thanks UPPZ Members

United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia(UPPZ) leader Charles Chanda has paid tribute to the members who turned up to vote for the party candidates in the just-ended Mayoral and Council Chairperson elections as UPPZ   sent warning shots ahead of the 2021 elections.


And Mr Chanda has appointed Chipangali Mayoral Candidate Dave Kapwata as shadow Member of Parliament for Chipangali Constituency after putting up a splendid performance in the polls.

Speaking through National Spokesperson Francis Kope, Mr Chanda thanked the UPPZ members for voting for the party candidates.
Mr Chanda said despite the party being less than two years in its formation, it is managing to pull good number of votes as witnessed in the just ended by-elections, where it was beating the UPND in some streams, especially in Chipangali He said the people casted their votes for the UPPZ because it offered the best candidates. Mr Chanda said this is very good foundation for the  party ahead of the 2021 General Elections.

” This is a congratulatory message to all the UPPZ members who managed to cast their votes, especially for Madaliso Musukwa.We are saying, thank you very much to all those that cast their votes for Musukwa. They were voting for a future that is defined for service delivery and transformation of the city. In the same vein, we would like to congratulate Musukwa for putting up a good fight.

In the debates, Madaliso Musukwa came out the best. We are not ashamed to say that Madaliso Musukwa was the best candidate in these mayoral race. Whatever the results, we are confident that our candidates were the best,” he said.

And Chipangali Council Chairperson Candidate Dave Kapwata has been appointed shadow Member of Parliament for Chipangali Constituency after putting up a splendid fight in the race.

“…In the same vein, the President has appointed Dave Kapwata has shadow MP for Chipangali Constituency, the one who gave a very good run in the Council Chairperson elections.

We had 487 votes in Chipangali while UPND had 7002 votes.
