FORMER Ministry of Health, Chief Human Resources Officer, Henry Kapoko has been sentenced to 18 years imprisonment with hard labour.
Kapoko was in 2017 jailed for two years for related offences.
Government was forced to refund cooperating partners, the $8million allegedly stolen by Kapoko and his associates.
The money donated was meant for HIV/AIDS awareness and treatment.
Kapoko and his associates opened lodges and nursing schools to hold the said workshops and training.
After a damning audit exposed the crime, donors froze funds for the Ministry for 3 years.
The matter has been going on in various courts of law since 2008.
