Politicians Urged Not To Politicize Kafue-Mazabuka Road

Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development Permanent Secretary Charles Mushota has expressed concerned that some politicians are using the deplorable state of the Kafue-Mazabuka road in order gain political mileage.

Eng. Mushota however says government has always been committed to ensuring that the road is rehabilitated much to the expectations of the people.

He has told q-news in an interview that there need for those criticizing government over the state of the road that government can only implement one project at a goal.

And Eng Mushota has revealed that the contractor engaged to work on the much talked Kafue-Mazabuka road has gone back on site to do some withholding maintenance works.

Eng. Mushota however indicates that the road development agency is preparing a bidding document for the first stretch which covers Chilundu road to Mazabuka.

He says under this tender 30 kilometers will be covered in view of the available funds.

Eng. Mushota government is also is considering other means of sources to finance the projects because it wants construction works to go beyond the Kafue-Mazabuka road.
