The assertions by some known Government critics that the governing PF is afraid of losing power is not only unfounded, but also a calculated scheme to mislead the Zambian people.

How could PF which is currently enjoying popularity among Zambians and continues winning by-elections be afraid of losing power? PF is afraid of losing power to whom?

We are also alive to Government’s unprecedented record of both achievements and performance under President Edgar Lungu’s able leadership boosts PF’s popularity.

In fact, it’s the opposition political parties whose popularity and fortunes are dwindling that are afraid of not forming the next Government in 2021 or any other time in the near future.

As for the accusation that the Head of State is at war with the law, unlike his critics who are just parroting, President Lungu is a seasoned legal brain whose decisions are based on sound judgments.

However, whilst criticism forms part of freedom of expression, those that criticize others should also be open to others’ criticism, and not hide in the ‘blanket’ of freedom of expression.

Zambian DNA advises critics of President Lungu and his Government not to be ‘allergic’ to criticism but take self-introspection.

We urge the Zambian people to be wary of the self-proclaimed moralists and armchair critics but have nothing to show for their claims, and support President Lungu who leads by example.

For example, President Lungu tolerates divergent views, even hard-hitting criticism whilst most of the President’s critics are hostile to criticism.
