Zesco United centre back, David Owino Odhiambo, will miss this Saturday’s CAF Champions League Group D match away to Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland due to thigh injury.

The Kenyan international has failed to recover from the injury which also saw him miss last Saturday’s FAZ MTN Super Division match against Napsa Stars in Lusaka which ended into a barren draw.

“Odhiambo is out. He has a thigh strain,” team Manager Mabvuto Banda revealed to the Zambia Daily Mail.

The Ndola based giants should beat Swallows for them to stand any chance of qualifying to the quarterfinals.

Zesco are bottom with two points from four match after drawing twice at home and losing a brace away and are two points behind Mbabane.

They are 8 points behind leaders Etoile Sportive Du Sahel of Tunisia while 3 behind Angola’s Agosto.

Zesco’s only hope is to settle for second position as they can no longer catch the Tunisian side who have already qualified from the Group.
