A WIFE of Kitwe narrated before the Bulangililo local court how her husband allegedly told her to choose between sacrificing her own father or he becomes infertile so that they can have wealth. Before Bulangililo senior local court magistrate Kambole Nyoni was Ireen Chifumbe who has sued Patrick Chilufya for divorce. The two got married in 2008 and they have no children together.

Chifumbe accused Chilufya of being focused on getting rich such that he suggested they sacrifice her father so that he could become rich.
She told the court that after she refused to have her father killed for riches, her husband then sacrificed his sexual desire. Chifumbe said her husband told her not to complain about their sex life since he refused to sacrifice his father.

“I have stayed in this marriage for 10 years now but we have not been able to have a child. He has sacrificed his sexual appetite for riches,” Chifumbe said.

Chifumbe also told the court that her husband has chased her from matrimonial home and has since married another woman.And Chilufya denied his wife’s allegation of trying to sacrifice his father-in-law and accused his wife of lacking respect. He told the court that his wife spends nights outside the matrimonial home and that when he queries her, she gives all sorts of excuses.

Chilufya said the biggest problem in their marriage is that his wife drinks beer in excess. Magistrate Nyoni adjourned the case to a later date
