THE Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia has sued Chimsoro Farms Limited in the Lusaka High Court demanding payment of K3,391,000 for the D-Compound fertilizer it supplied them between 2016 and 2017. According to a statement of claim filed in the principal registry, NCZ stated that it was a limited liability company engaged among other

things, in the business of production, manufacturing and supplying of D-Compound fertilizer. They stated that Chimsoro Farms Limited was owned by prominent Mkushi farmer Costain Chilala whose businesses also included the buying of fertilizer.

NCZ stated that between 2016 and 2017, it supplied D-Compound fertilizer to Chimsoro Farms at its own request but that it has up to date not satisfied and has neglected to pay the full amount reflected in invoices issued to it from the period January 10, 2017 to June 7, 2018 amounting to K3,391,000 as of August 7, 2018.
