President Edgar Chagwa Lungu should be given another five-year mandate in 2021 so that he completes various developmental projects he has initiated.
Indeed, President Lungu has demonstrated a tacit commitment to transform the country, and improve the Zambian people’s livelihood.
Moreover, President Lungu is a ‘Walk-the-Talk’ leader who fulfils his campaign promises; and he’s the first sitting Republican President to embark on tours of duty to check on developmental projects even in far-flung areas and the little known places in all parts of the country.
President Lungu has also demonstrated that he’s champion of nation- building anchored on ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION, but other political leaders thrive on a ‘Divide and Rule’ principle.
President Lungu has strengthened the declaration of Zambia as a Christian Nation by actively promoting Christian values and principles.
The Head of State upholds the rule of law, respects the freedom of expression and the media.
However, the freedom of expression and the media in Zambia has been grossly abused by Government critics.
President Lungu is among the few Republican Presidents in Southern Africa to have appointed a number of women in key positions.
For example, President Lungu is the first Zambian Republican President to have appointed the first ever female Republican Vice-President, Inonge Mutukwa Wina.
In fact, President Lungu is not only a caring Republican President, but also a gentleman and a patriotic son of the soil who puts the interest of the nation above self.
President Lungu has initiated a number of citizens’ empowerment programmes tailored to improve the livelihood of the women and youth; he has also sacrificed ten percent of his salary towards the empowerment of the vulnerable people in our society.
Moreover, President Lungu is a ‘down-to-earth’ leader people can easily relate with as One of Us, and unlike some political leaders who belong to the ‘Some of Us ‘Class.
President Lungu is a visionary leader and dedicated to the service of the nation whilst other political leaders are in active politics for obvious selfish reasons.
Further, President Lungu presides over an all-inclusive Government.
It’s worth noting that the Head of State strives to share the ‘national cake ‘equally and equitably without leaving any one behind.
In view of the foregoing, President Lungu should be supported by all Zambians by giving him another five-year mandate in 2021.
