Particulars of the offence are that on November 11 last year, Banda had unlawful carnal knowledge of a child under the age of 16.

Banda allegedly defiled the child at his orphanage.

The accused who is also a contractor and runs God at Work Orphanage, appeared before Magistrate Nsunge Chanda for plea.

Magistrate Chanda has since granted Banda bail at K10,000 in his own recognizance with two working sureties in the like sum.
