NCHANGA Member of Parliament Chilombo Chali is not surprised that Nchanga Rangers Football Club have been demoted to Division one.
“It is sad news even though it did not take me by surprise. When support from Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) started dwindling and players started going for three months without pay, I knew that Rangers would be demoted,” Chali said.
He said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that it is shameful for a big team of Rangers’ calibre to be demoted from the Super Division.
“If the erratic funding continues, Rangers might be demoted from Division One to Division Two…Chali said.
