Traders Clobber Pastor Over Lover

Traders in Kapiri Mposhi have battered a 38-year-old pastor after his wife accused him of abandoning her and their baby. The incident took place on Friday about 13:00 hours when the traders at Tambalale market pounced on pastor Oswald Ngosa after his wife, Suzan, told them he had deserted her and their baby.

Central Province commissioner of police Joel Njase confirmed the incident in an interview yesterday, saying Mrs Ngosa later told the police at Kapiri Mposhi Police Station that her husband, a pastor of Revelation of Ministry, abandoned her in Mufulira and relocated to Kapiri Mposhi with a woman he had met in Luanshya. Mr Njase said Mrs Ngosa travelled to Kapiri Mposhi on Friday in search for Ngosa and while at Tambalale market she shared her ordeal with the traders.

She told the traders that the pastor and his lover have been living in Kapiri Mposhi for three months now. In a well calculated move, one of the traders called the pastor asking him to come to pray for her child who was sick. “She explained to the marketeers and she gave one of them the numbers of the pastor and she called him to inform him that her child was sick and she needed prayers and the pastor came with that woman,” Mr Njase said. He said Ngosa was, however, surprised to see his wife with the marketeers who immediately descended on him and his lover.

He said the police came to the rescue of Ngosa after someone from the market called them.
“After hearing the side of the pastor, he was reconciled with his wife and we told them to go back to Mufulira,” Mr Njase said.
